What’s your favorite thing about working on your crew?

I love being able to work with amazing people and different teams. One of the great things about EDA is that you don’t have to be afraid to show humility. I also enjoy working together as a team to complete projects.

What is your favorite sandwich?

Broccoli rabe, sausage and fresh mozzarella.

How do you stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies and safety protocols?

It is more than roofing. You have to keep learning, whether it is new products, new protocols or new ways of doing things. Manufacturers put out videos and resources where you can learn, and project managers are also a big help. There are always ways to learn, both internally and externally.

Outside of work, what are some of your hobbies or interests?

I am a big sports fan. My favorite teams are the Yankees, Giants, Knicks and Notre Dame.

What’s one thing you personally must have with you on a job site?

On the job site I always have my coffee thermos and my reading glasses.

What is something you don’t leave the house without?

My mom always said, “In case of an emergency, don’t embarrass me. Make sure you always wear clean underwear!”

What is your favorite EDA value?

I am dialing all eight. They are all great.

What’s the best piece of advice you’d give an apprentice, or what’s the best piece of advice you received as an apprentice?

Do your work, keep your head down, pay attention, and don’t get hurt.

Is there anything else about you, your family or your home life that you would like to share?

I could not be any prouder of my two sons, Nicholas and Michael. They are my biggest accomplishments.

Can you share one new thing you’ve learned on the job or a best practice that helps save time, energy or keeps you safer on the job?

It is important to teach safety the right way from the beginning. Training someone properly from the start is much easier than trying to break bad habits later.

What do you love about working at EDA?

You are surrounded by heroes. We work for a company full of people who give back, do hard work and support each other. It makes you feel great to be part of that.
