Collaborative Human Resources Business Partner, Field Operations

Today we speak with Human Resources Business Partner, Field Operations, Jeffrey Snyder.

What’s a misconception people have about what you do for a living?

People sometimes think working in Human Resources or People & Culture is all fun and games, but there is a lot more to it. In my role, I work closely with business leaders and field leaders to understand people priorities, develop people plans, and implement HR strategies that support the company’s goals. A lot of that work comes down to building relationships and establishing trust with both leaders and employees.

Was there a moment at EDA, big or small, that made you feel like you were in the right place?

I had that feeling as soon as I received my job offer. I had a great interview experience, and it truly felt like EDA was going to be my home. Getting the verbal offer over the phone from Sarah Browning made it feel even more special.

What’s your go-to sandwich order?

A Philly cheesesteak hoagie.

What motivates you at work?

Making a difference in the lives of the employees I support in my business line.

If you could have dinner with anyone, past or present, who would it be?

Madonna. I would love to learn more about her life and what inspired her to write the music she has created over the years.

What’s one thing you’ve learned about yourself since joining EDA?

I have learned what it feels like to be truly valued and appreciated in my role.

What’s a movie or TV show you could watch over and over?

The Birdcage or The Devil Wears Prada.

What does Successful Together look like to you in your role?

To me, Successful Together means supporting the business every day in a way that helps EDA continue to grow and succeed.

What’s one musical artist or podcast you couldn’t live without?

Madonna will always be my favorite. Lady Gaga is a close second.

What’s one small thing that can instantly make your workday better?

When someone calls or emails me just to say, “Thank you for being my Business Partner.”
