Michael Coar joined EDA in 2011 and currently serves as director of engineering. In this role, he leads a team of technical experts across EDA's various commercial envelope disciplines, providing leadership, guidance, and executive oversight to ensure customers receive the best products and applications intended to exceed expectations.
He brings more than 23 years of industry experience in exterior wall systems, with expertise spanning estimating through project management. Michael earned bachelor’s degrees in architectural engineering and civil engineering from Drexel University, where he was recruited to play Division I ice hockey. During his time there, he served as team captain and helped lead Drexel to its first conference championship in 2001.
Outside of his professional life, Michael is a devoted husband and proud father to his autistic son. He is an avid fan of the Phillies, Eagles, Flyers, and Yankees, and enjoys spending time outdoors, sipping whiskey by a fire, and listening to music. Continually striving for self-improvement, he values flexibility, appreciates the small things, celebrates everyday wins, and maintains a positive outlook.

Mike Blackie
Mike Blackie joined EDA in 2008 as a service tech, before taking on a foreman position in 2010. He currently serves as EDA’s quality control manager.
Mike started roofing in 1988 with a commercial roofing company based out of York, PA. In 1992, he began residential roofing in the Philadelphia region.

Mike Garvey
Mike Garvey began his career at EDA in April 2018 as a driver. After nearly four years in that role, he was promoted to inventory manager in October 2022. In August 2024, Michael was promoted once again, this time to supervisor of shop operations.
Prior to joining EDA, Mike attended Father Judge High School, where he was active in football, basketball, and student council. He later pursued studies in construction management at the Community College of Philadelphia.
Outside of work, Mike enjoys spending quality time with friends and family, golfing, and enduring the endless ups and downs of being a Philadelphia sports fan.

Mikenson Michaud
Mikenson Michaud joined EDA as warehouse manager for the NY/NJ region in 2023 and has more than 10 years of experience in the logistics industry. He began his career in the humanitarian field before transitioning to a coordinator role in warehouse operations. Mikenson enjoys solving problems, evaluating his work, and brainstorming new ideas with his team. He believes that taking calculated risks keeps his work exciting and his team motivated.

Mike Shoemaker
Mike Shoemaker, known to many as “Mikey Shoes,” was born and raised in South Philadelphia and brings extensive knowledge of the construction industry to EDA. He joined the team in December 2025 as a Superintendent. Known for his strong problem-solving abilities, willingness to take initiative, and collaborative approach, Mike works effectively with project teams throughout every phase of the construction process.
Outside of work, Mike is married to his wife, Lisa, and is a proud father of four: Michael Jr., Joseph, Giuliana, and Giovanna.

Mitchell Horwitz
Mitchell Horwitz has more than 15 years of sales experience as a jewelry wholesaler to independent stores. He later served as office manager of a high-volume dental practice for many years. In that role, he was a key contact for internal (coworkers) and external (patients and vendors) communication, helping to maintain a safe, efficient, and positive work environment.
Mitchell was proudly born and raised in Northeast Philadelphia and enjoys running, going to the gym, and spending time with family.

Nathaly Bravo
Nathaly Bravo earned her degree in civil engineering with a concentration in construction management from Drexel University. She joined EDA as an intern, eager to put her skills to the test in a project management role. After completing her internship, she joined EDA full time as an assistant project manager (APM).
With a positive, open-minded outlook on life, Nathaly is always seeking new experiences and challenges. In her free time, she enjoys exploring the outdoors through activities like hiking and traveling. She also has a passion for exercising and loves animals, nature and learning new things. Nathaly is driven and not afraid to get her hands dirty to accomplish her goals.

Nathan Wright joined EDA as safety coordinator in 2024. His prior professional experience includes four years as biosafety coordinator at Temple University.
Nathan graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) in 2015 with a bachelor's degree in sports administration.
Outside of his professional career, Nathan enjoys cooking and playing in basketball, baseball, and softball leagues.

Nick Mata
Nick Mata joined EDA as a safety coordinator in 2024. Previously, he gained valuable experience as a project manager, where he honed his skills in leadership, project planning, and risk management.
Nick is committed to furthering his education and is currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program at Thomas Jefferson University. His diverse background and ongoing academic pursuits equip him with a comprehensive understanding of safety protocols and project execution.
On a personal level, Nick enjoys listening to music of all genres and spending quality time with his wife and dog, Bruno. You can find him relaxing at the beach and playing video games during his free time.

Nicole Braswell
Nicole Braswell joined EDA in 2025 as an operations assistant. With a diverse background that spans education, small business ownership, and hands-on project coordination, Nicole brings a uniquely detailed-oriented approach to the operations team.
Nicole earned her bachelor's degree in secondary education and english from Holy Family University. She went on to teach high school english, where she developed strong communication, organization, and problem solving skills that continue to guide her professional work today. In addition to her experience in education and administration, Nicole owned and operated a successful furniture restoration business for more than a decade. What began as a hobby quickly grew into a thriving operation known for craftsmanship and customer service.
Outside of work, Nicole enjoys spending time with her three daughters and staying active with creative projects

Patrick Wert
Patrick Wert joined EDA in 2026 as director of fabrication and logistics operations. He brings more than 10 years of operations and leadership experience to the team. Patrick works closely with leadership to streamline operations, strengthen teams, and build scalable systems that support the company’s continued growth.
Outside of work, Patrick enjoys spending time with his family. He is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys fly fishing and hunting.

Paul Becker joined EDA in 2015 and serves as a superintendent within the historical restoration team. In this role, he oversees metal restoration work and leads the development and administration of EDA’s historical restoration apprenticeship program.
Paul is a strong leader and communicator who is always willing to share his knowledge and support those around him. His contributions have played a key role in the continued growth of EDA’s historical restoration operations and workforce.
